3D BODY COMPOSITION

DEXA-calibrated body composition analysis.

Create a precise 3D model of your body and track how it changes over time — without radiation, electrodes, or a trip to an imaging center.

Your Body, Quantified in 3D

Movement Lab uses computer vision and 3D body reconstruction to transform a short scan into a measurable digital model of your body.

Instead of relying only on body weight, we track changes in shape, size, symmetry and estimated body composition — giving athletes a visual and quantitative baseline they can compare month after month.

PERFORMANCE TESTING, QUANTIFIED

Stop guessing how athletic you are. Measure it.

Movement Lab combines professional-grade wearable sensors and performance technology to capture the numbers behind how you move.

Using HUDL Titan GPS and Output Sports sensors, we measure the physical qualities that matter most to performance:

  • Sprint speed and acceleration
  • Distance and high-speed running
  • Training load and work rate
  • Explosive efforts
  • Jump performance
  • Strength and power
  • Velocity-based training
  • Movement quality and asymmetry

Every testing session creates a measurable performance baseline inside your Backfield athlete profile, so you can see exactly where you are today—and whether your training is actually making you faster, stronger, and more explosive.

TEST. TRAIN. RETEST. PROVE IT.

Your numbers become your benchmark.

Your progress becomes visible.

In-person coached velocity training packages and comprehensive diagnostic performance evaluations.

Individual diagnostic assessments and progress evaluations designed to establish or retest your performance baseline.

Cal Strength Member Benefit: Active Cal Strength members pay $125 instead of $150 for eligible single-session services, including Velocity Tests and 60-minute reevaluation/check-in sessions.

Velocity Test

OUTPUT SPORTS
$150/ session
$125 Cal Strength member rate · 60 minutes

Objective performance testing using Output Sports sensor technology to understand and improve your strength, explosiveness, and movement velocity.

By analyzing objective performance metrics such as jump height, reactive strength, movement velocity, force, power, and range of motion, Backfield builds a measurable baseline of how an athlete currently performs.

The results are used to identify strengths, expose areas for improvement, and establish performance benchmarks that can be retested over time.

Your testing data becomes part of your Backfield athlete profile, allowing us to track changes in explosiveness, strength, power, mobility, and overall physical performance instead of relying on guesswork.

Includes

  • • Output Sports testing
  • • Jump height & reactive strength (RSI)
  • • Movement velocity & force-power telemetry
  • • Mobility & joint range of motion (ROM)
  • • Software baseline & Backfield athlete profile

Science & philosophy

Measure first. Improve second.

Movement Lab is built around a simple principle: better decisions start with better measurement.

  • OBJECTIVE

Use repeatable physical measurements instead of guesswork.

  • LONGITUDINAL

Track change rather than obsessing over a single snapshot.

  • PERSONAL

Interpret performance in the context of the individual.
